IICRC Applied Structural Drying
This 4-day course is a hands on experience for those wanting to further their knowledge of water damage restoration. Based around the National Flood School's own IICRC ASD approved Flood House this course covers advanced drying techniques, equipment and approaches to various materials and constructions.
The Flood House is an 8-room independent structure designed to replicate typical British buildings through its make-up of different materials and construction designs. The house is flooded with a measured 8000 litres of water over a 24 hour period before being dried by the students. The design of the Flood House ensures the teaching is both a relevant and realistic experience that students will understand and remember.
Course content includes:
- Air Changes
- Indoor Air Quality
- Open & Closed Drying
- Negative and Positive Air
- Advanced Drying Techniques
- The Maths of Drying
- The Dry Standard
- And more...!
This course not only prepares students for the IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD) exam, but also practical considerations such as how to check the efficiency of dehumidifiers and how to calculate the number and type of air movers required for each job.
This course is essential to anyone serious about professional water damage restoration.
