  5. IICRC Water Restoration Technician...

This three-day course provides an excellent introduction to Water Damage Restoration of buildings.

This course concentrates largely on the subject of Psychrometry, the ‘science of drying’. This illusive subject is often overlooked but is fundamental to successful drying. The course covers the necessary basics needed to attempt water damage claims such as understanding psychrometry – the science of drying and deploying the correct drying equipment, classes of water, safety, chemicals and extraction procedures and lots more. Students will benefit from lectures, discussions and short video as well as expert instruction.

At the end of the course students can take the optional IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) examination to gain an internationally recognised qualification. The Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification demonstrates the students knowledge to perform remediation work and an understanding of water damage, its effects, and techniques for drying structures. Upon achieving this certification, students demonstrate they have the background to understand the procedures necessary to deal with water losses, sewer backflows, and contamination such as mould.

This course is a must for those tackling water damage claims whether it be as a start-up, existing restoration business owner, loss adjuster or loss assessor and is a prerequisite to IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician. The course syllabus is compliant with UK health and safety regulations, trade associations and standards.

The exam fee is £50 no VAT payable to the examining body the IICRC.
This course is a pre-requisite for IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician which is a robust course covering mould and sewage remediation.
